My Bloody Valentine 3D Review

This is Action Bomb’s review for the brand new horror flick “My Bloody Valentine 3D”.

Synopsis from IMDB:

Tom (Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people.

That’s not the whole plot, as the rest might have been spoiler. Well, what did I think of the new My Bloody Valentine? Well, I was impressed, very impressed. The good thing about this movie is that it is, just like it seems, fun. They don’t keep the fright factor the whole time, sometimes they make you laugh, but all the times they tried comedy didn’t really work on me. They don’t try it too much though. The cool thing about this movie is the gore, and they don’t keep that to a small part of the movie. We’re talking full on gore, and the way they went about the killings sort of impressed me because they we’re smart with it, to an extent. Now some of the things the movie suffers from is somewhat bad acting. The thing with me is a lot of times in horror movies, I actually laugh because sometimes what is meant to be scary winds up being funny, even though they didn’t mean that at all. There were also some stupid things some of the actors did, like staying in a truck while the pick axe is flying at you???? Just duck! It’s not really that hard! But they did have some all out gross factors in this. There were some intense moments, some jumpy moments, and the main thing I have with this is the killer. The whole time, we are guessing who the killer was. I won’t spoil it for you but I was guessing someone, then It was very obvious who it was. But, then they twisted the twist again! Kudos to them! Because then I didn’t know who it was, then, with a few minutes left, we find out. Seeing it in 3D would have been pretty cool as I have heard tons of stuff flies at you.

All in all, My Bloody Valentine 3D ends up being pretty fun, like I thought. There’s a lot of gore, some laughs, some things are rather dumb and don’t work. I give My Bloody Valentine 3D a 7.8 out of 10
